Chromodoris boucheti has following distinctive characteristics :
- the body is bluish white with 3 longitudinal black lines and sometimes some secondary short lines on the mantle
- the rhinophores and gills are white at the base and yellow at the tip
- there is a black line on the external and internal side of each gillChromodoris boucheti can be mistaken for Chromodoris lochi, Chromodoris dianae and Chromodoris michaeli. C. boucheti is recognisable according to the presence of black lines on its gills.
Also, Chromodoris boucheti can be mistaken for Chromodoris willani. Here too, gills allow to distinguish them : C. willani has gills covered in white specks, without any black line.
