Chromodoris britoi has blue body with yellow spots and yellow border. The rhinophores have a longitudinal pale line and there is a purple line on each gill.

Chromodoris britoi looks like Chromodoris krohni. To distinguish these two species, you have to look at the median yellow line :
- Chromodoris britoi always has a darker yellowish-orange spot in the centre of this line
- Chromodoris krohni hasn't it
Moreover, Chromodoris krohni hasn't any pale line on the rhinophores and any purple line on the gills.
