According to its name, Chromodoris cf. geminus looks like Chromodoris geminus. Here are the main characteristics of this animal :
- the mantle colour is orange-brownish (paler in C. geminus)
- the mantle is covered with large purple spots ringed with white
- the mantle is bordered with purple band, which is rather submarginal in C. geminus

- the yellow submarginal band lacks in C. cf. geminus
- the rhinophores are purple (rather than yellowish in C. geminus)

Probably, this animal mimics Chromodoris geminus.
