Chromodoris krohni has blue body with yellow spots and yellow border. It is distinguishable according to three yellow lines in the centre of the mantle. There is a variant of this species which hasn't any line, just numerous spots.
The rhinophores and gills are purple at the tip and translucent at the base.
Chromodoris krohni looks like Chromodoris britoi. To distinguish these two species, you have to look at the median line :
- Chromodoris britoi always has a darker yellowish-orange spot in the centre of this line
- Chromodoris krohni hasn't it
