Crimora papillata is characterised by yellowish white body with small, forked, bristly tubercles, scattered all over the body. These processes form a distinct line around the body.
Rhinophores and gills are yellow with translucent base. There are 3 to 5 gills. The rhinophores are lamellate.
Crimora papillata feeds on the bryozoans Flustra foliacea and Chartella papyracea and it is the place to look for it.
Crimora papillata could be mistaken for Limacia clavigera. They can be distinguished according to the nature of their papillae : C. papillata has short and forked papillae while L. clavigera has long and rounded ones.
