Diaphorodoris luteocincta is distinguishable by its white mantle with yellow border. The mantle can have a central red blotch or not.
Portmann & Sandmeier, (1960) proposed to name the white colour form D. luteocincta var alba and the reddish colour form D. luteocincta var reticulata.
