Doris bertheloti
grows to less than 40mm in length and it has following characteristics :
- the body is hard, rigid and it has the same aspect in and out of the water
- the mantle ranges in colour from pale grey to dark brown
- the mantle is warty, with different sized tubercles and whitish spots
- dark areas are aligned longitudinally and in pairs on the mantle
- the rhinophores are green with pale base and they bear about 30 lamellae
- the gills are tripinnate and they are 5-6 in number
Usually, this species is hiding under stones in shallow waters.
