Jorunna tomentosa can grow to 60mm in length and it has following characteristics :
- the pale colour ranges from brown to grey
- the velvety aspect of the mantle, due to numerous small tubercles
- the presence of dark spots, longitudinally aligned on each side of the mantle

Jorunna tomentosa feeds on sponges, mainly on Haliclona.
